What really happened was..

We're approaching 2011 in less than a week! YIKES. I'm all set in saying goodbye to 2010. Hello 2011! Greet me with the utmost honour and respect for having to sail smoothly through 2010. A hell of a year.

No more turning back. Lets just look ahead of us. Crossing the frontier. Plan our future. ( Trust me, I am not that poyo all the time. ) But before that lets just take a glimpse of resolutions I made early this year.

What happened to our zero ten's resolution?

What happened to yours? What happened to mine?

Lets cekidaut.

1. Obtain at least once, a perfect 4.0 GPA on my semester exam
Failed. Did not achieve it. Not even close. My GPA for both of the semester exams were the same. 3.74 on the dot. Subjects responsible for that are the usual ones. Anyway, it wasn't that plausible pun seeing how hampeh I am in Add Maths. But you know what they say? They say shoot for the moon, at least you'll fall among the stars. Entah betul ke tidak tu. Was rather frustrated with my Trials results. Biology grr. I still feel the rage until now though. How would I be able to answer the questions when we have topics uncovered. I know I should have studied on my own. Not to blame anyone here but yeah.. Whatever. Too late now. And I believe it just costed me my scholarship. GRRR.

2. Win Public Speaking Nationals
Hah. This one frust menonggeng. Went for Zone Level in Jeli and emerged as the runner up. Was totally dumbfounded by the fact that I lost to some Jeli girl. Oh well tuan rumah kan. Really thought I didn't make it through the Nationals. I REALLLYY wanted to go, badly. Got over the frustration. And then waddaya know. I guess that's how Law of Attraction works. They decided to bring along the runner-ups from each zone as well to compete in the Nationals. So there you go. But by the time I knew, I had very little time to prepare. Got so down in writing the script all over again. Ran out of ideas and got all stressed up. I was not satisfied with the final script at all. But what the hell, I went to compete anyway. And yeah, I went back empty-handed. Can't describe how disappointed I was. But competing was definitely an experience. Would never forget the adrenaline rush before going up on stage. Oh and I got to replace some kid for debate as well during the competition. I had to take her role as the second speaker and realised that it was HARD! During my debating times I was the 3rd speaker and only that. Can't believe it was really that hard to throw arguments. Manipulating them is the best :D.

3. To be more arranged and systematic
Only when I really feel like it. HEHE.

I had more than that of course. But honestly, they are already forgotten. Ell Oh Ell.

What's so special about you?

Well how do i put this nicely? I LOVED NOT HAVING TO WAKE UP AS A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT :D Oh well, despite all the good times and lessons learnt yadda2 I still think my high school time sucks. Being that awkward gangly tall skinny girl in school since Form 1, people especially stupid boys whose brains are only the size of a peanut, would mock and scream (ok not literally HEHE) their brainless mockeries on such fine creation like yours truly,me. Not to mention stereotypical oh-i-am-so-cantik-i-can-get-any-boys-to-fall-for-me-in-a-tap-of-my-ugly-fingers. Truth is, you are the ugliest. Oh well, high school's over. Been there. Done that. Won't ever wanna be there, do that again. Lets just put that aside.

Anyhow peeps.

I've been trying to eat as much as I can as to fulfill one of my maaaanyyy post-SPM plans. In the world of dining, the street food - I found to be very fun to explore. Plus it being so cheap and easily accessible (if u know what i mean) *wink2. Nope, I'm not gonna blabber about where and what and when to find scrumptious delicious slurrppp slurpp *oh sound effect sikit* food. BUT! This is an eye opener. *insert sound effect*

So, peeps. This is what I realised. Go to any hawker you can find. And try ordering anything in menu. Yes, anything. Lets say ermmm Rojak Ayam. Ok Rojak Ayam. Ok now scroll your eyes to the bottom. *BOOM* Rojak Ayam Special.

Rojak Ayam Special

Ok that ladies and gentlemen is my prime example. See it through your heart. Smell it through your senses. What is so special about Rojak Ayam Special? They have extra chickens, extra sauce, extra this extra that. Can't really point it out can we? Different stalls have different definition of "special". Cool.

Lets go to second stall. Pick anything from the menu. I pick ABC. Repeat above procedure. OK we have ABC special.

ABC Special

An ice cream scoop on top. Extra red beans and jellies and all those stuffs. Again, different place, different definition of "special". Yummyyyy slurrp slurrp. I correct or not correct one? Of course I correct one. Don't believe me? Like I even care.

So, see the picture, no?

What I am trying to convey over here is notice how these food are all called "special". But the special parts have no interconnections between one type of food and another. What I mean is they are all different. Nasi Lemak Special may be defined as Nasi Lemak with more anchovies, fried egg, cheese cake as complimentary dessert and whatnot. And if you order say... Teh Tarik Special. Your Teh Tarik may be served in a huge glass and super frothy ke ape kan.

Nasi Lemak Special

Teh Tarik
i just made that one up so teh tarik special doesnt even exist :P

Lain tak makanan2 yang special ini?

Ya. Sangat lain.

Tapi masih special?

Yeaps. Definitely.

There are no exact definition. For me, being that awkward gangly tall skinny girl was and still is very special. :)

Rain

Just something I had in mind.. Nothing great, same old cliches I love. Enjoy :)

It was dark. Deafening thunders roared, as black, dense clouds were rolling towards the hill. Lightnings were pelting relentlessly between the old oak trees. I watched the heavy downpour from my bedroom window and played my heart-shaped locket between my fingers. I heaved a sigh of relief. I can't bear putting on fake smiles for them anymore. No pats on the back, no laughters, no nothing. No kidding.

"I shall put a stop to this whole charade once and for all". My thoughts dwelled in my mind as the painful memory did its relapse in my brain for the gazillionth time. But it can't stop no matter how hard I tried to block it. It kept on coming and tailing me like a faithful little golden retriever. But this one is a species of evil. The one that gives a burning throbbing sensation in your chest. As though its little teeth are biting into your flesh, embedding the venom that leaves you in constant pain that never goes away. It makes you wanna lose it and just let the pool of tears you were holding back, to flow free.

"Its him. Isnt it?" A vague little voice suddenly spoke. The inaudible voice I detested so much for always telling me the truth. The truth I'd like to sugar-coat. The truth I longed for an hour soak in honey maple. It won't be that hard to swallow I thought to myself.

I brought my chin away from the sill and went to search under my bed. Its the wooden box. Dusty. Frail. Broken. My upper lip trembled as I unlocked the box with the locket I treasured so much. I read all the letters. I looked at the photos. Movie tickets. Little notes. Everything we shared.

The bell rang. I gasped. "It couldn't be any other time could it?" Annoyed,I quickly wiped my tears and blew a few deep breaths in front of the mirror. "Cominggg!" I hurriedly ran down the stairs. Who could it be? I fumbled with the knob and pulled the door open.

I hated my mind for playing tricks with me. No no no no. This can't be him. A stupendous fine lad with soft baby blue eyes was standing before me. No, this is not him. I tried convincing myself. That lad was drenched top to toe. He stared into my swollen, bloodshot eyes as I begun to shake my head in indenial. It felt like the time had stopped. And the air around us was stagnant. He opened his mouth. "I'm sorry it had to be that way". He took a step closer and wrapped his arms around me. My face was lodged into his warm chest. I wept like I never had. He pulled me tighter and we stood like that what it seemed to feel like a century. And the downpour settled into beads of tiny drizzles..

Eid :D

When you don't have the slightest idea on what to write on your blog, you make a list.

Things That I Love On Raya
  • New baju kurungss! Me like new clothes! Well, who doesnt? Its the excitement of wearing new ones that I love.
  • Duit rararaya. I'm at my richest status during Raya.
  • A VERY HEAVY breakfast after 30 days of not eating in the morning (regardless of sahur)
  • A full tummy by 12 noon.
  • Got to meet relatives. How family expands so rapidly. Every year there are always new installments into my memory. New cousins, new babies, newlywed aunties & uncles. Even the old ones whom I never even bother to get to know before this.
  • Hawt Malay guys in complete baju melayu and sampin. They got this "polished look" that I so loike.
  • Lagu Raya! Notice how every year it is always the same ones? Well, Raya songs never really get out of date don't they?
  • Camwhore sessions with vain siblings and cousins. :D
  • Juadah rayaaaaaaaaaaaa. Rendang, kuzi, ketupat, roti jala, satay and whatnot. You wont get all those good stuffs served at one time except during Raya and only Raya.
  • And everything in between.. Too many things to list down. HEHE

Perfection

Maybe its not what I need.

Too perfect to touch I guess? Nothing to explore beyond the outline,no? That makes it unfathomable. I dont like that, you see. Because I'd like to know . I like to waft around the dark void between us. Paint it with colours. Bridging the distance. Make us meet in the middle. But everytime it gets closer, theres something. That something or perhaps someone? It pulls away. Letting it drift further and further out of sight. Poof! We're back to square one. Repulsive but yet attractive? Starting the vicious cycle all over again. Just fill your supremacy. Requench you thirst of angst. Dont you think Im too free to fly? Too free to wander? Let me bow to your prerogative.

I am a skeptic. But.

"You are the only exception"
"You are the only exception"

And now lets have a tight grip on reality shall we?

This is for you

It has been 5 years. I remembered seeing her as a brilliant and matured one among her peers. For no apparent reason, she stood out from the others. Secretly, without anyone noticing I would walk pass her classroom after school. Everyday, without fail. At times I would see her staying back after class, writing in her book. She would be alone too. I would only watch her from afar then. Her flushed red cheek, the innocence in her, her liquid chocolate eyes just melt my heart away. I sighed. Wishing that empty seat beside her has me filled in it.

“She’s too young”, kudos for the hard slap pal. A friend’s disapproval won’t stop me. Even if that means getting laughed at. But the way she made my heart sank every single time she walked passed me just lifted the pleasure I never felt. Unknowing of how she made my feet trembled, she spoke to me once.

“Good luck and all the best.”

It was all it takes. I don’t mind the laughters. What matters now is her smile. Her smile that can paint the colours of rainbows. Her weak smile who brought me into tears when I know it was my time to graduate and leave school. I kept on repeating that scene in my mind even when I was circling my answers and writing essays in the hall. I know I have to nail this. For me, for my family, for her…

It has been 5 years. Her presence was becoming stronger and stronger despite her being in a whole different nation. Somehow we found a way to keep writing to each other Checking the mail is a routine every morning. My day would be perfect when I saw her name in my inbox.. She who I claimed to be my “best friend”. But deep down under I know we are more than that. And I hope she knows that too. Even if I never say it out loud. Wait for me. I whispered under my breath everytime I read her mail. I’ll give you my word when everything here is done. I want you to know how hard it is for me to keep this sealed and locked. How much I want to prove that you’re not wasting your time with me. How much I want to say “I need you”. I sighed and chuckled, reminiscing moments of the last time I saw her. Tears prickled down my cheek. God has stretched the time. It has been the longest five years of my life..

Sorry I'm not the best writer ever. But this one's for you bestie! You know I love you :P

Stupefy

I am not good with expressing emotions. Specifically misery. Not a good thing i can assure. I so envy those who can cry very easily, poof we know, she's in grief. Or those who turns into a Hulk when they get mad. Yea big fat sign of "do not disturb". But what happen when somebody goes smiling all day long when shes really pissed off? When shes is so messed up but crying is impossible, and she gets hurt even more? No,its not a question of pretending. But its just how I am used to hold and bottle up my feelings. Its like blowing it into a balloon. I need somebody to poke that balloon with a needle. Gosh the most pathetic metaphore ever.

Hmm so lets see, the longest I can stand being moody is like erm 10 minutes. I just dont get it when people can actually be so not in the mood for like days. Im really amazed. Like WOW ok. Even when I really reeally reaaally dont feel like talking at all, I would end up talking to the next person who nudge me. I mean I really dont feel like conversing but I just cant ignore people like that. Thats really mean. And again Im just so amazed by those who can just completely ignore people around her. Its a skill I'd love to learn. I think Im too nice sometimes. It feels nice when we get things out of our chest aite? But I just dont know how. Sigh. Like totally ok.

This is not healthy. Im a girl for god's sake. The gender which suppose to be all emotional and yet I dont know how to be one. I need to go for a counselling. This is eating me inside. My God I am super pathetic.

& shoots my blog is so fugly. need to renovate it! like a.s.a.p

U noe u havent been blogging much when...

YOUR NUMBER OF POSTS IS NOW EQUAL TO THE NUMBER OF POSTS OF YOUR SECOND BLOG! which is "estabalished" way later than you own blog. which is shared btw with 4 other best friends hehe. YEAY WE BOTH REACH 83 POSTS TODAY. Not a number Im proud of when it comes to my personal blog. Sikit gile aku tulis eh hehe. Anyway to make it up, this is my second post for today.

Just got back from AddMaths tuition. More to a tutor la. Its me alone and the teacher. Personal tutor. Yeah thats the term. Tiba2 reminisced zaman dulu2. When I used to have so much fun going for tuitions. Weird huh? xD

Well lets see, I started going for tuition classes when I was 10. Standard 4. That early kan? My parents never forced me to go whatsoever. It was me influenced by my peers. We went to that tuition class in an old bungalow house. It was rilly fun. I remembered going for Maths classes. I did not suck at Maths. Yet. At least masa tu belum lagi la. But it was meeting my friends and having fun afterwards that intrigued me into this whole idea of going for tuition. It was a teacher from St. Thomas. Forgot her name la. But I remembered her as a really cool and nice teacher. We, the girls from a girl school haha, being very girlish and socially-oriented group would normally tease the guys. Like duh, we're the bising and outgoing ones. Biasa la girl school xD. Menyanyi lagu Berhenti Berharap by Sheila On 7 sambil membuat gaya yang sgt lawak masih ku ingat sehingga hari ini depan teacher. And she laughed. Hard I tell ya. We were one funny bunch of kids.

Then the same tuition centre in that bungalow hse moved to a tingkat atas shop lot and the tuition centre was given a new-branding la kononnye. Dinamakan Perdana Ria. Menarik kan nama? haha. I wonder if its still running nowadays. Anyhow, I went for tuition there until Std 6. Taking up only Maths n Science. Eh best la zaman2 pre-pubescent dulu. Remembered not to care what I look like and stuffs like that. How cantik I look or is my hair out of place. Usual uniform for tuitions - short pants, hodoh tshirts, sandals, and paper bag to put my papers & exercises. But hey despite all I aced UPSR without a teaspoon of pressure. It was as though my primary times passed blissfully without a glitch. IT WAS HECK OF A FUN.

Then when I was in Form 1(ke Form 2?) started going for Arab classes. It was too so the very fun. Ustzh Amira yg sgt rock dan cool. We had classes once a week with our seniors. So we learnt advance stuffs and all of us were girls except for Taufiq. Ustzh wud sometimes serve us food :D itu paling menarik ok. And bcos of the class I was one of the top scorer in Bhs Arab. Yeay me. I love languages. Every sorts of them.

Apparently Ustzh got preggy and she stopped teaching extra classes. So when I was in Form 3 I decided to join Sherr & Nani for Maths classes (again). So now I entered class because I started to discover my handicapped-ness and disability to digest numbers and interpret them in my i-think-words-are-better-than-numbers cerebrum. Believe it or not, towards the end of the year after a few months of Mr. Tan selamba teachings, I started acing Maths. Like seriously, I remembered getting a 96 for a test whereas everyone was getting a B. I was back then the few the proud, not the marines, but a a self-proclaimed Math geek.

Then when I was in Maher, I was not taken by surprise when I failed AddMaths. It was the first ever in my lifetime did I ever fail a subject. And I gotta admit. It did demotivated me from wanting to ace AddMaths. Urgh. So, i think Momma was tad bit worried for my lack of brain cells in the Numbers&Digits Departments. Hence she recommended a tuition centre. But it was diffrent bcos I did not noe anyone over ther and it wasnt fun at all anymore. So thats why I only went ther once HAHA. And guess what. Itu pun tersilap masuk kelas. I entered a freaking Modern Maths class instead of an Add Maths one. HAHA stupid me.

Konklusinya, tuition classes helps extremely. Bcos I cant study on my own, at least not Maths la kan. So I learnt smtg about myself from going for classes.
  • I learn better in small groups
  • I learn better with people I know
  • I can concentrate better bcos of smaller radius with the teacher
  • I liked being paid attention to
  • I love to be in the lime light
  • I wont learn in environment I regard as "intimidating"
  • I learn when I have fun
  • You just need to do extra work to get extra good grades man, no short cut whatsodamnever.
Therefore,
Peace Out
I hv Physics exercises waiting for me obediently
- in the corner of my room :D

Lame gile tak menulis

Wow. My last post was Nov 30 2009. Its already Mid June 2010. Time flew too fast eh? Dont know why i feel like writing again :)

Tapi janggal la rasenye nak menulis. Dah lame tak mengarut di blog sendiri. Kalau tak duk asrama mmg banyak dah mengarut di sini hehe. Speaking of which, dah tak lame dah nak abis sekolah! Nak yahoo ke nak boo hoo? You pick. Dua2 pun ade.

*secara jujur nya agak yahoo kerana boleh keluar drpd kepompong itu. hee.*

Tetapi. Walaupun aku duduk dari Apr 09 sampai la akhir tahun ni hopefully. Tak sampai pun 2 tahun. Tapi I can tell that it has been a big part of my life. Aku belajar adapt to a whole new environment. And Im proud to say that I did well. If u ask me now whether I like staying there I wont say I love it but its a decision I did not regret. That place taught me a lot.

Yes, it restricts me to do what I love, what Im passionate of. For instance, dulu2 mase free time I would paint, I would draw, write poems (cliche I noe), ambik gambar, learn new songs on guitar, hang out with friends at the mall. Tapi kat sane agak restricted. Sebab everything is based on routines. So its as though u're given a box to live in and u just hv to think outside of it.

No, I would never stay there for a longer time. I think my short duration of staying is perfect timing. Perfect for me to rasa what it feels like to stay in a hostel and berdikari for a period of a year and a half. Tapi cukup lah stakat tu.

To sum it up, aku rasa hidup high school aku agak menarik la. Dari Form 1-3 di sekolah biasa yg sgt cemerlang (dah kuar baru sedar amatlah excellent skola tu ya), to 4 months in sekolah cemerlang juga di KB tapi aku masuk kelas last sebab nak amik LK (agak menyesal), to now in hostel. From an insecure, penakut girl mase kecik2 sampai skrg aku confident gile bebs. HAHA. Tak takut weh skarang. Aku amat berterima kasih terhadap diri sendiri krn berjaya mengharungi 3 diffrent schools with very diff environments. Hopefully aku akan do well in college kelak dan berjumpa circle of friends yg lebih menarik.

banyak la pulak mengarutnye. hihi. peace.
