How Facebook Annoys the Crap Out of Me

Do you have one of those days when you feel like deleting everyone in your friends list? And scream at their faces "WEY THIS IS SO NOT COOL LA WEY!". No? Erm.. Okay baiklah. Fine this is a free country you can do anything you want with your social network account. But please oh please don't do things that only will guarantee you a place in the Wall of Humiliation.

First, tYpInG LiKe ThIs HaS nEvEr BeEn CoOl. Oh come on people. That's just retarded and I despise it to the max. I mean yeah I admit, I kinda thought it was cool back then. WHEN I WAS 10. So when an 18-year-otd writes like that, I feel like killing you for being extra obnoxious. And then I will kill myself for even thinking of going deep into your writings with that kind of the absurd alternate pattern of upper case small case. OMG just stop okay?

If that's irritating, wait till its combined with rempitzz style of typing. xDoP PoM hOp MuNg Tuw OpP? PeNiM dA Palowww Aq. Crapppp. I can't believe I typed that. Now now now.. Boys and girls this is no joke. It is really shitty to write that way. Please be normal and use the language you learn at school ok. Wait no. Use the language you usually talk la. I mean do you really speak that way in your everyday life? No right? WHAT? YOU TALK LIKE THAT MEH? Ok baiklah.

Baiklah seterusnya. Tagging your friends seramai yang mungkin to a single non berkaitan photos. I loathe this. And you might have noticed but I have removed every photos that are well, pointless and yes pointless. Plus, it annoys the hell out of me when everyone starts commenting and my notification box or whatever you call it begins to cram with comments that I don't give a damn about. I wish I have your dilligence to even have the heart of clicking everyone in order to tag. So yeah, I click remove.

Next is narcissism. Ok I get it. You're sooo beautiful. You wanna show everyone how you can rock that sunglasses. IN YOUR BEDROOM. How dumb. And taking like 100s of photos with yourself as the only subject and upload it. Kudos for having that sense of feeling so full of yourself. And you'll put it in this nice tiny innocent folder called "Me,Myself and I". Oh if thats bad. Wait till you look at the pictures of yourselves pretend to play candid and won't look at the camera lens and yeah, we know its you who snapped it. Surprise surprise!

Stupid display names. OnE WhOoo$eNaa. Ok I considered it "cool" once. It was during my early years in the social networks when I was like erm.. yeah 10. So for an 18-year-old to come out with an ultra creative display name ie Ahh-MaT ArE Boo. Or names like Saya Jiwang, Putus Cinta dan Hati DubDabDubDab don't make sense at all. Gawd. Maximum absurdity.

Emotional status updates. Well this is from my point of view though. So no offence. Ok now. Can you just keep your emotions to yourself? I mean if you really wanna share it, Facebook is just not the place for it sweetheart. And revealing private matters publicly in the social network where the whole world can read it, thats just not cool. Please be a little less of an attention - seeker. Sekian.

Last but not least. At least until now is using your relationship status dengan sewenang-wenangnye. Man, if you're only started dating just for like 5 months or what? 3 months? Never consider yourself "In A Relationship". Lebih2 lagi jika cinta monyet. Ok anyway. No need to publicly announce it in Facebook. Nanti nak kahwin baru la announce ok? Ok baiklah.

Ok adik2 dan kakak2 sekalian. Anyway siapa je bace blog aku pun. Jadi beginilah. I am not saying that you should not do all the stuffs above. Oh wait, yeah maybe thats what I am trying to say. But anyhow, use your Facebook wisely. Its a place to connect and socialize la like duh. Sorry if this post sounds harsh but whatever I don't care. I desperately have to make it clear. This is my blog anyway. Hence, so long fare thee well. Till we meet again.

Lil Birdie

I was still in my deep slumber though the sun was already way above the horizon. Subtle golden rays were obstructed by thick curtains allowing me to waft in my subconscious fantasies. The light breeze from the swirling ceiling fan filled the room with tender coolness. I pulled my covers to my chest and tucked myself in like a toddler on a rainy day.

"Ahhh this is perfect." I thought to myself.

The images of Wonderland in my mind was becoming more profound. Magnificent. I can stay this way for the rest of my day.

Not until something began to agitate me. The window I slept next to, had been tapped repeatedly. By something really tiny. I tossed and turned. I pulled my pillow to my ear. But it just didn't go away. It began chirping.

"Seriously? Are you freaking kidding me?"

I could feel the weight of my heavy eyelids bailing me out as I sat up straight and pulled the thick curtains. Sun rays poured into the room. And I saw that evil thing. That evil tiny thing. Staring straight through my eyes from my bedroom window at 10 in the morning.

That was a month ago. And that evil thing still lingers around. Visiting my bedroom everyday without fail. And today, that little cunning thing came again. And I caught him red handed. Or red-winged?

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Hey lil birdie, my windowsill is all yours to visit every morning. I love your melodious voice birdie. Though you are not even close to a nightingale. At least I love it now. You were obnoxious once. But you're not that evil after all. :D

Is that tube mine? LOL

Seriously I should add another thing on "My Guilty Pleasures" list below. Which I just came to realise today. What I'm referring to is watching YouTube practically all day. I mean what else do you do when you have practically nothing to do. Oh wait, I do have things to do -- chores. But who would pick chores over YouTube? I mean pfft. Ehem. So... Yeah. I am so gonna die.

I shall admit, YouTube is the finest creation ever existed in the World Wide Web. I watched hundreds videos of songs covers. Guitar lessons, awesome tunes from YouTube stars and live performances. KevJumba funny videos are so addictive. Oh by the way Kevin if by any chance you might be reading a random 17-year-old Malay girl's blog, I would like to say that I am so amazed by your creativity to interpret issues and make fun of them. I wish I have your sense of humour. Maybe not. Alpha Kenny Body? Who can top that? Hilarious! YouTube you made my day.

Gosh I sound so pathetic. I think I am getting more and more engaged to the virtual world rather than the real world. Like hello since when I update my blog for every single day of the week? And discussing on YouTube? I have gone crazy. That's it.

And yeah, Asians aren't short.

Guilty Pleasures

Ok I gotta admit. I ran out of ideas on what to write about in my blog. And I actually typed " What to write in my blog " on Google. How pathetic pfft. Anyhow I got a topic. Which I thought of without the usage of any search engines apparently. And these ladies and gentlemen are my Top Five Guilty Pleasures.

Oh by the way. In case you don't know.

A guilty pleasure is something one enjoys and considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it. The "guilt" involved is sometimes simply fear of others discovering one's lowbrow or otherwise embarrassing tastes. Fashion, music, and junk food can be examples of guilty pleasures.wikiwiki!

So basically, they are the things that you know you should not like. But you like them anyway.

So here we go.

First on the list is reading Nicholas Sparks'. He is one cheesy storyteller and his stories are super cliche. So far I have read like what? Five of his works. Almost every stories have predictable plot. Nonetheless I would never fail to shed some tears in the end. Okay scratch that. "Some" is an understatement. I just love the corny romance and unlike the other contemporary authors, the stories are clean. Nothing inappropriate. Plus, his stories are always entwined with essence of faith in God, one's beliefs and whatnot. Sparks made sense all the way although obviously he wrote on Christianity. If I were to pick a favourite, its definitely gonna be A Walk To Remember. The tragic end (and very expected) of Landon & Jamie's story have never failed to touch my heart and well not to forget wet my cheeks too. Bak kata orang tu, "Tujuh kali I tengok, tujuh kali I nangis".

Second is listening to Wali Band. I know their songs are not THE best musically composed songs ever and their lyrics don't make sense somehow. No offence. But I can't believe how their songs can stick and linger around in my mind. As bad as I don't want to. Their funny lyrics are laughed at initially. But somehow I remembered the words. Accidentally. Not on purpose. Of all the things I remembered on purpose. It HAS to be those nonsensical lyrics. God, how I wish I can "accidentally" memorize the factors that triggered WWI or "accidentally" solve that Math problem.

Third on the line is watching reality TV shows on Channel E. I don't get bored of them even if I watch them over and over again. My favourite is definitely Keeping Up With The Kardashians and every single spin-offs they had. I too have watched all of the episodes of Giuliana & Bill for both of their seasons. And even watched several episodes repeatedly. Life in the Fab Lane, Mel B Its A Scary World, Living Lohan is definitely my choice of TV show. Just to name a few. Why does this fall under one of my "guilty pleasures" again? Oh well. Lets just put it this way. Those shows don't educate at all. They only thing they teach is probably how to scream at paparazzis. But hey, I love watching good looking rich people screaming.

Lucky number four is another guilty pleasure on reading materials. Stephenie Meyer's The Twilight Saga. Needless to say I have the complete set of her books. Yes all four of them. I hated the fact that I actually had to go to a "Young Readers" or "Teen Fictions" section every four times I bought them some time ago. Nothing tops the cheesiness of Meyer's storyline. Not even Sparks'. I totally loved it! And oh please vampires don't glitter under sunlight. They die. Plus, "vegetarian" vampire is an absurd concept. To be frank I only read it for the romance part since I'm a total romance junkie. This is from my point of view by the way. TwiHards, don't bite me.

Last but not least on my list are fizzy drinks. Don't really have any food guilty pleasures as I don't ever felt guilty of eating. Ironically I am so guilty if I don't eat. Hence, fizzy drinks falls under this category. I like the dance they excite on my taste buds. And I loveee mocktails. I love the potentials of a plain soda gives to our creativity. God forbid, diabetes, kidney failure and liver damage is so not in my wish list. This I am ready to change gradually. I'll have replacements for the drinks. I'll drink water instead. Yeah right, as if.

So, what are yours? :)

Like kitten in a box

My long fingers making a debut over here. Oh and not to mention my shaky vocals. Ending agak tahi. Tak nak tengok sudah.

Agak ironi di situ. Damn it. Tak nak tengok sudah.

Like a G6

Poppin bottles in the ice, like a blizzard
When we drink we do it right gettin slizzard
Sippin sizzurp in my ride like a Three Six

"Dirty vodka. Extra dry."

His voice was completely drowned by the blare loud sounds of techno music blasted off the stereo, thumping his eardrums. His vision was blurred. Streaks of neon-like colourful laser lights bounced of the glass walls. The thick, pungent air, tightening his chest. Noneless, the discomfort haven't seem to inhibit his thirsty habit. Before long he gulped every drop of it down his throat. He wiped his chapped dry lips with the back of his hand. And ran through his hair with it.

Numb. That was what he felt and he loved every second of it. He flinched as he recalled the scene. That painful night. He had sleepless nights ever since. He dare not close his eyes as he fears of what will come to him. What had haunt him all this while. He put his head in his large filthy hands and frowned. Something cold and hard was in complete rage inside him as he battled with his mind. The veins on his neck looked like they could burst anytime.

Just stop. Stop it. Go away. Now. Leave me alone, okay?

Chin up. With droopy eyelids and a vision now very manipulative.

"Bartender. Another one"

His eyes were bloodshot and his pale face didn't help at all. The bartender hesitated. He trembled but went on.

"Sir, this is your ninth. I think you had enough. You won't be able to drive back home"

He kept it to himself from the third.

"DO I LOOK LIKE I FUCKING CARE? Gimme or you..you get..whatever man. Just freaking do what I asked. "

The bartender clenched his teeth. He couldn't afford to mess up.

Now Im feelin so fly like a G6
Like a G6, Like a G6
Now Im feelin so fly like a G6

The bartender analysed him in scrutiny as he walked out of the rusty place after that drink. Indeed. He was feeling like a G6. Flying so high above all skies of reality. His legs brought him to the old Peugeot. The engine roared under his command.

The car went 50.

It went 75.

90.

100

The car was doing 120 on an empty old winding road.

The last thing he remembered was a white bright light coming head on. And a loud honk that seemed to last forever.

He was on the wrong way.

But it was too late.

One Zero Zero

Dear You,

We have been together through thick and thin. Through principal's office. Through angst and vengeance and laughs and grieves. It has been a long time ago. I owe you a lot. You taught me so many things. In the end it was you who I turned to. You have never betrayed me. You're one loyal creature. And I love you to death. And when I die, I want you to not be forgotten. For you to be constantly etched in everyone's mind.

It's my 100th post. For almost four years of in and out of Blogger, this is my dedication to you, my blog. :)

You've been PIMPED !

And I love your new look.

And I think I have grown vainer.

Peace.

The Traveler

Cold. Quiet. Comfy. The dry air in the plane didn't seem to bother her at all. The dimmed light felt like velvet softly touching her skin. Travelling to her was truly magical. For what it felt like a couple of minutes actually was already 4 hours. She was four hours on the flight bringing her to a part of the world where no one knows her. Intrigued. But deep down, eighteen inches from her brain to her heart, she travels only for travelling's sake. She does not need to go no where. As they say, the great affair is to move. Staying idle used to fascinate her, but to move is to realise. To seek for the unknown and only to find it when you return home.

The world is a book. Those who does not travel, can only read a page.

Books are her passion. This time, For One More Day by Mitch Albom. Perfect match-ups. Flipped cover to cover in a matter of couple of hours. 35.95$ hole in her very lightly filled pocket. But lessons on life she learnt from Albom's script was priceless. It was the epilogue. The end of the book. Timing can never be more brilliant when the darkness started to unfold in a breathtaking way. The clear blue sky with puffy white clouds were now changing hues. The clouds looked like soft pink cotton candy. Deep tangerine and light purple shade emerged from the horizon. The sun was setting to the west. She deciphered her bearings. On her right was the exact east. She gazed out of her icy plane window while trying to understand the meaning between those lines written on the book. One word crossed her mind.

"Transition"

From clear blue to pitch black. From joy to sorrow. From life to death. God made it crystal to her on that day. Or so she thought. The turning point to downfall will always begin with something beautiful. The utmost climax. The true beauty reveals. At the peak, everything looks stunning. But bear in mind for what's waiting for you at the bottom. Be prepared to hit rock bottom whenever you're at the top.

And that is how life goes on. When its time for night has to give way to day light, the sun rises. To get up from a fall, it begins with something significant. Small, but has got meanings to it.

It doesn't hurt to be a little apprehensive sometimes, wouldn't it?

To her, traveling is not about seeking new landscapes or new places. Its about having new eyes. A new outlook on life.

Kimi Raikkonen, I've arrived

I can't believe driving can be somewhat exciting too. Haha. I did my amali with the trainer. The first time ever I drove an actual car. For beginners like yours truly, moi. We started off with the very real basics of driving. We drove in straight lines initially before moving on to the circuit.

So after learning the basics, I learned to shift gear in straight lines.

Something to begin with

I hope its not too late to make a 2011 resolutions. Its the 3rd day of the year. Not too late, I hope. Never too late.

One of the many plans I have for 2011 I think this one deserves the top priority. To have more faith. To be a better Muslim and be closer to the Almighty. I am not the most well-behaved human being you have ever met and religious-wise I know I have a lot more to learn. I really hope that this year will bring new solid firm faith, not just to myself but also to my loved ones. Need all strengths to defy dark and evil whispers. Not trying to sound so pious so sudden but this is sincere from my solemn heart. A way towards achieving the so-called balance or equilibrium in life. And to ponder about the afterlife once in a while is a true humbling experience.

Be more level-headed and calm in handling situations or interacting with others. All this while I realised that I am very panicky and I get nervous easily. Especially when getting provoked at. Perhaps I was being too "fragile" or maybe my fright-button is very easily triggered. This is really hard you see, because then I can't think clearly. Mental consciousness was vague. I need to learn to calm myself down and have my feet to stay put on the ground whenever I get scared or frightened or stressed up.

I want to improve my ability to socialize and interpersonal skills . I tend to get awkward among people I'm not comfortable with or used to. Even with those who I am used to, I can still feel its really hard to build a bond sometimes. For me to "click" with random people, that's just hard. Maybe I was born with a rather "introvert" personality. Yes when I'm with people I truly love and I'm reallyyy comfy with, I reveal my true colours. Otherwise I'll just keep my mouth shut and listen to what people had to say. While I'm mumbling insignificant words to make myself noticeable. I guess I'm just not that type of a person that treat everyone they meet like an old friend. I. Am. Cold. And I know it. And I want to change. With the age of maturity approaching, I hope to be a warmer person :) To reach out to people and make me like-able :D

I used to have so much passion in writing. I love loveee to write and I admit it has been one of my forte. I am not really expressive so writing is the only medium I felt very comfortable to express myself in. So so in 2011 I hope to improve my vocab and reignite my passion in writing. First stop, write as many entries in my abandoned blog. It was long since I felt the hype of writing something in my blog. Used to always feel that way. I guess something just extinguish the fire I had in me to write. Seems like all the urge was lost. For this year I would like to write more often and have a vocabulary like a dictionary. Oh it rhymes. Dang! ;)

I am not a perfectionist. So not one. But for this year that is what I wanna try to be. To be more orderly, time-oriented and well-managed. I think this was last year's resolution but whatever. No harm in trying this again since I think I failed to fulfill this one. I want to be neat and tidy. I love tidiness and cleanliness but the thing is I was just way too lazy to care. Let's wait and see to what I will become at the end of this year ;)

All in all I think thats about it for tonight. It keeps on coming every day so it doesn't matter if you have a new resolution tomorrow or the day after. It doesn't matter if sometimes you change your mind about things and plans just don't go how they were supposed to. But these just keep me on track and keep me conscious of my priorities. Keeping the priorities straight isn't as easy as it sounds I can assure you.

2011, please be good to me, I beg you :(

And yeah, its new year.

So much of "so what" eh?

TEE HEEE :D

You're still young

I had two 19-year-olds guests sleeping over at my house last night. Daughter of a family friend's and her friend. I went to greet them the moment we met. And and.. whaddaya know. Bersalaman and they KISSED MY HAND.

-___________________-

Do I really look that old? Like seriously?

Super overwhelmed because obviously I know they are older than me. So I was like, "Eh eh, I baru habis SPM". Hahahaha.

Somebody told me once that I look mature for my age. Can't recall who but actually there were more than one. Prime reason? My height. I have always been the tall one amongst whatever the circle I might be in. And frankly I have never EVER EVER EVER *ok you get my point* regard that remark as offensive. I mean I liked being told I look matured ever since I was young. Rather than portraying a "kiddy" side of me. And I might say I get along well with people who are older than me compared to socializing with the younger social circle. I mean, juniors? YUCK. No offence there.

You see, I wasn't always been the tallest. When I was in the primary, yes I was among the tall ones but I have always regard myself as an "average height". Nonetheless I stood out among all. Oh well, charisma. HAHAHA whatever k bye. And and up until now I still can't figure why I was chosen as the class monitor the first of school in Primary 1. I assume it was because of my height. I stood out and was hand picked by the teacher. Still remember her name, Cikgu Siti Zubaidah :)

Ever since I was small, people see that I had leadership quality. I had the talent to lead they say. And so I thought to myself lately. No, I don't really know how to lead. Instead, I personally like being a follower rather than to lead. I don't really know what I was to do during my leadership times. Really depended on my down lines. I made a conclusion that people trust my ability to lead because I have the height. I believe it portrays power over something. I tower the others. Looked like I have control over them. But really, I don't really trust myself in it.

Well what can you say?

Looks can be deceiving sometimes aye?

Oh and very confusing as well ;))
